About Assurance International

An independent certification body providing internationally recognised ISO management system certificates to organisations across Albania and the Western Balkans.

Our Mission

Certification built on principle.

Assurance International was established to provide organisations across Albania and the Western Balkans with access to ISO certification of genuine international credibility — conducted by qualified professionals who bring real sector knowledge to every audit.

We exist because the region needed a local certification body that combined proximity and accessibility with the independence, competence, and rigour that internationally recognised certification demands. Every decision we make — from how we select auditors to how we make certification decisions — is structured around that commitment.

Our operations conform to ISO/IEC 17021-1, the international standard specifying requirements for bodies that audit and certify management systems. Every certificate we issue carries a promise: an independent qualified expert has assessed your management system against internationally established requirements and found it to conform.

The foundations of every audit we conduct.

Impartiality and Independence Policy

INVICTA provides its conformity assessment services impartially, independently, and without discrimination, within the scope of its legal authorization and accreditation. Its services are accessible to all eligible applicants, regardless of their size, location, sector, membership of any association or group, or social, commercial, financial, or political characteristics.

INVICTA is a legal entity established and operating in accordance with the applicable legislation of the Republic of Albania. All conformity assessment activities are carried out within INVICTA’s approved accreditation scope, defined geographical areas of operation, applicable accreditation requirements, and established procedures.

INVICTA, its management, employees, auditors, technical experts, committee members, representatives, and any other persons acting on its behalf shall not engage in any activity or maintain any relationship that may compromise, or be perceived as compromising, the impartiality, objectivity, or independence of its conformity assessment activities.

Top management is committed to safeguarding impartiality in all certification activities. INVICTA continually identifies, analyses, evaluates, treats, monitors, and reviews risks arising from its activities, relationships, personnel, ownership, governance, finances, contracts, marketing arrangements, representatives, related bodies, or any other source that may give rise to a conflict of interest.

Where a risk to impartiality is identified, INVICTA shall eliminate the risk or reduce it to an acceptable level. Where an identified threat cannot be eliminated or adequately mitigated, INVICTA shall not undertake or continue the relevant conformity assessment activity.

INVICTA has established, implements, maintains, and continually improves a management system in accordance with the applicable accreditation standards, legal requirements, accreditation body rules, and its internal procedures. All activities are conducted fairly, objectively, competently, consistently, and independently.

INVICTA recognizes that impartiality and the perception of impartiality are fundamental to the credibility of its conformity assessment services. Commercial, financial, personal, or other pressures shall not influence audit findings, technical reviews, certification decisions, or any other conformity assessment outcome.

INVICTA does not offer or provide management system consultancy. It does not design, implement, maintain, or provide specific solutions for the management systems of its existing or prospective certification clients, either directly or indirectly.

INVICTA does not certify the management system of another certification body. It shall not provide internal audits to its certified clients and shall not certify a management system on which it has provided internal audit services until the applicable impartiality requirements and prescribed period have been fulfilled.

INVICTA may provide publicly available, generic training activities, provided that such training does not include organization-specific advice, solutions, system design, implementation, or consultancy. Participation in any training provided by INVICTA shall not be presented or implied as making certification simpler, easier, faster, less expensive, or more likely to be granted.

INVICTA shall not state or imply that certification would be simpler, easier, faster, or less expensive if a particular consultancy organization, representative, auditor, trainer, or other person were used. Applications received through representatives, intermediaries, related parties, or other referral sources shall not be granted preferential treatment or any advantage.

INVICTA applies its certification fees fairly and consistently in accordance with established commercial rules. Fees shall not depend on whether certification is granted, maintained, suspended, withdrawn, reduced, or refused. Financial arrangements, advance payments, outstanding amounts, or the commercial importance of a client shall not influence audit conclusions or certification decisions.

Where advance payments are required under contractual arrangements, such payments shall be managed in a manner that does not create any obligation or expectation regarding the outcome of the conformity assessment process.

Certification decisions shall be made by competent persons or committees who have not participated in the relevant audit and who are independent from the persons who carried out the audit. Persons involved in technical review and certification decisions shall be free from commercial, financial, personal, or other pressures that could influence their judgement.

External experts or committee members may participate in technical reviews or certification decisions where necessary. Any remuneration paid to such persons shall be fixed or based on the work performed and shall not depend on whether certification is granted, refused, maintained, suspended, withdrawn, or otherwise decided.

INVICTA protects the confidentiality of all client information, records, and documents obtained or created during conformity assessment activities. Such information shall not be disclosed without the client’s prior written consent, except where disclosure is required by applicable law, an accreditation body, a regulatory authority, or another legally authorized body.

Where INVICTA is legally required to disclose confidential information, the client concerned shall be informed in advance of the information to be disclosed, unless such notification is prohibited by law.

All personnel, auditors, technical experts, committee members, representatives, subcontractors, and other persons acting on behalf of INVICTA are required to comply with applicable confidentiality, impartiality, independence, and conflict-of-interest obligations.

INVICTA shall not assign personnel to an audit, technical review, or certification decision where an actual, potential, or perceived conflict of interest exists. All relevant persons are required to disclose any relationship or circumstance that could affect their impartiality before accepting an assignment and whenever such a situation arises.

INVICTA regularly reviews its impartiality risk analysis, relevant relationships, financial arrangements, personnel assignments, certification activities, complaints, appeals, and other information that may affect its impartiality or independence. Necessary corrective actions and safeguards are implemented and monitored for effectiveness.

INVICTA shall not perform or continue any conformity assessment activity where its independence, impartiality, objectivity, or credibility may be compromised.

This policy is communicated to all relevant personnel and interested parties and is made publicly available to demonstrate INVICTA’s commitment to impartial, independent, competent, and trustworthy conformity assessment activities.

Confidentiality

All information obtained from clients during the certification process — management system documentation, audit findings, processes, business data, and personnel information — is treated as strictly confidential.

Confidentiality obligations extend to all personnel involved in certification activities, including auditors, decision-makers, and administrative staff. Our policies are documented, maintained, and enforced as a core operating requirement.

Consistency

Our certification processes are harmonised and applied consistently across all clients, sectors, and auditors. Regardless of your organisation's size, industry, or location, you receive the same rigorous standard of audit and decision-making.

Consistency is achieved through documented procedures, standardised audit methodologies, calibration between auditors, systematic oversight of certification decisions, and internal auditing of our own processes.

Our Accreditation Framework

Operating to the standard that governs all standards.

ISO/IEC 17021-1 defines what a certification body must do, how it must operate, and what it must demonstrate to issue certificates of genuine international credibility. It is the framework behind frameworks.

Organisations choosing a certification body should understand that conformance with ISO/IEC 17021-1 is what distinguishes a credible certification process from an uncredentialed one. Without this framework, a certificate is simply a document — with it, a certificate is an independently verified statement of fact.

Every aspect of Invicta's operations — auditor selection and evaluation, audit process design, certification decision independence, complaints and appeals handling, and management system oversight — is designed around the requirements of ISO/IEC 17021‑1.
